SOCIAL JUSTICE PHILOSOPHY
Social Justice are the equal rights we all deserve as humans. Social justice may be something we stride for but have not achieved, with many issues there are to many to list, but what I believe are the most unjust, that are most oppressive, are those that are placed into our beliefs. The kind that we accept or overlook. These are problems that can be easily solved but are not. These problems are not solved because there is someone that is benefiting from our struggles. This is the way things have always been throughout history. Fighting for our rights is what accomplishes our problems. Just to let the oppressed or the oppressor know that someone cares. Not all battles end with a victory and I speak about this with personal experience being forced out of my home along with many others in the apartment complex that was fought for but with a rising gentrification issue in Logan Square a lot of people ended up losing their homes that is now an over priced condominium that has been abandoned for almost ten years. Even if our battles don't end with victory there is an important impact that our decisions to act makes. That is what gives others hope, it is to act without fear of consequences thats makes us achieve.
